Meatloaf was one of my favorite dinners growing up! As I got older I stopped liking it as much because I thought "Beef.. that's not healthy.. so greasy and so much fat..". Yes- beef is not the leanest meat but that does not mean you cannot have it every once in a while! Should you eat meatloaf or burgers everyday- no! But should you eat anything everyday? There are pros and cons to all food. That is why it is important to have a balanced diet that is filled with a variety of foods that fuel your body and satisfy your cravings!

Ingredients:
2lbs ground beef
2 eggs beaten
1 cup milk
1 sweet onion- chopped
3 cloves of garlic- minced
1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried basil
1 cup oats
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper
Kethchup
Olive oil
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Add ground beef, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, garlic powder, dried basil, oats, mozzarella cheese, salt and pepper into kitchen aid mixer or large bowl
3. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the ground beef
4. Use olive oil to lightly grease bread pan (LIGHTLY!)
5. Split loaf into two and place in bread pans
6. Bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour
7. Halfway through baking add ketchup to top of meatloaf if desired
8. Serve with your favorite sides! I chose to serve it with mashed potatoes and broccoli!
